Fuel station robbery: Employee shot dead

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A 27-year-old employee of a fuel station in Kahawatte-Ela, Polgahawela was shot dead last night. Police said 2 suspects who arrived on a motorbike to a gas station had shot the employee, robbed the cash and fled the scene. The employee who was severely injured in the shooting died after being admitted to the Polgahawela hospital. The amount of cash robbed is to be ascertained and investigations are underway to apprehend the suspects.
