SLPP to hold a special meeting at Wijerama

Colombo (News 1st): A special meeting of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna party leaders is to be held this afternoon (August 10) under the auspices of Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa at his official residence at Wijerama. A spokesperson said, the objective of this meeting is to discuss matters regarding the joint opposition convention led by the Podujana Peramuna, which is to scheduled to take place tomorrow (August 11). Further, party leaders are expected to arrive at a final decision regarding the Presidential candidate of the joint opposition led by the SLPP.
