Colombo (News1st) – A number of houses have been damaged by strong winds. Asst. Director of the Disaster Management Center Pradeep Koddipili noted that 25 houses have been damaged in the Matale district while a further 28 houses were damaged in Dambulla.

10 houses in the Hathbodiyawatte area in Narahenpita were also damaged by the winds.

The Met department predicts that winds conditions being experienced at present are expected to continue over the next couple of days.
