Prison guard's weapon discharges by accident near Hambantota Court

Colombo (News 1st): The weapon belonging to a Prison Guard accidentally discharged this morning in close proximity to the Hambantota Court. Sri Lanka Police said the weapon accidentally discharged when the Prison Officer was about to get off the prison bus which was transporting inmates from the Angunukolapelessa Prison to the Hambantota Court. No casualties were reported and an investigation is underway.
