6 dead in accident across the island

Colombo (News 1st): Six people have died in several accidents that took place in Wellawaya, Negombo, Hikkaduwa, and Dompe Police areas. Wellawaya 2 people including a child died in an accident that took place in Aanapallama along the Wellawaya - Moneragala road. The accident occurred when a lorry collided with a van. Negombo Two youths died when the motorbikes they were travelling on collided. The police stated the duo aged 19 are residents of Munnakkaraya, Negombo. Hikkaduwa A 51-year-old woman died after being hit by a bus in the Kumara Kanda area in Hikkaduwa. 

The police said that following the incident residents in the area attacked the bus. 

Dompe

A woman has died after she was hit by a motorcycle in Delgoda, Dompe. Police stated that the motorbike rider who was injured in the accident is currently undergoing treatment. The victim is a 56-year-old resident of Parangoda, Dekatana.
