UNP cancels Aug 5 meeting on new alliance

Colombo (News1st) - The United National Party has canceled the meeting that was planned for Monday  (August 5). The executive committee of the UNP that convened on Thursday (Aug 1), decided that the agreement on the new alliance would be signed on Monday. However, a majority of the members that attended the executive committee meeting had opposed the draft agreement on the new alliance.
