"Suwa Seriya" ambulance service marks three years of serving the people

COLOMBO (News 1st): Today marks the third year since the commencement of the Suwa Seriya Ambulance service in Sri Lanka. The ceremony was held with a young boy who benefited from the service on the very first day it started. The moment you hear 1990, you think of the Suwa Sariya Ambulance service. The service that covers the entire island free of charge commenced on the 27th of July 2016. The day was marked with little Yasiru who was born inside a Suwa Sariya Ambulance on this day three years ago. Suwa Sariya Ambulance service also marks its third year today. Speaking at the event, Non-Cabinet Minister Harsha de Silva said that so far they have directed the Suwaseriya ambulance to 240,081 emergencies. He further said that when looking at the staff of the Suwaseriya service that they could gladly use the word guardian angel to address them. He added that they will be recruiting another 300 to their staff. When he was questioned if he would take up the run for the Presidential election if given with the opportunity, he only responded that there is time for that.
