Valuable wood and herbs destroyed due to a fire in Bogahapathana reserve, Wellawaya

Colombo (News1st) - A fire in the Bogahapathana Forest Reserve, Wellawaya has destroyed approximately 30 acres of the reserve. The fire spread to a large portion of the reserve due to strong winds. The soldiers of the Kumbukkana army camp attempted to control the fire according to the Assistant Director of the Disaster Management Unit, Moneragala. It was reported that the fire had destroyed multiple valuable wood and herbs.
