MEPA removes fuel successfully from Sri Lankan Glory

Colombo (News 1st): The Marine Environment Protection Authority said it completed the removal of fuel from the cargo vessel ‘Sri Lankan Glory’ which ran aground due to gale winds experienced in Galle recently. General Manager of MEPA, Dr Terney Pradeep Kumara speaking to News 1st said 15 tonnes of fuel were removed from the Sri Lankan Glory. He added the fuel was removed with extra care causing no harm to the ocean and marine life.
