COLOMBO (News 1st): The Postal and Tele Communication services union states that they will take sick leave as part of a trade union action for a period of 24 hours with effect from midnight today (July 21).

The trade union action is to be launched focusing on a number of problems including the issues in recruiting new employees. However, subject Minister M. H. A. Haleem has requested the union workers to reconsider their decision to launch a trade union action tonight. He added that attention has been given to provide them with solutions.
