33,000 families affected by power failures: Ministry of Power

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy states that electricity will be disrupted to more areas of the island due to the prevailing inclement weather. Media Spokesperson of the Ministry, Sulakshana Jayawardene states that more than 33,000 families are currently affected by power outages. He added that the Southern province has been affected mostly due to the situation.
