Police on alert to face probable natural disasters

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Police headquarters state that all police officers are on the alert to face any probable natural disasters. Police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara said that 149 police officers with special life-saving training have already been deployed to the areas most prone to natural disasters.
Two special hotlines (0112 454576 and 0112 587229) have also been introduced to inform the police of any disasters.
