Earthslip in Ginigathena claims a life and destroys 10 shops

Colombo (News 1st) - An earthslip was reported in close proximity to the Ginigathhena police station at around 2am. An individual was reported missing after a section of the Kandy - Ginigathhena road collapsed, his remains were discovered earlier today. The earthslip caused considerable damages to a two storey building which housed 10 shops. The victim who died in the earthslip has been identified as 64 year old M.L. Jamaldeen. According to his family members the victim had been in the building complex when it collapsed.
