Avant-Garde: Secretary of National Police Commission remanded

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Secretary of the National Police Commission, Saman Dissanayake has been remanded till August 2nd. The arrest was made after the suspect was interrogated by the acting unofficial Magistrate Tissa Wijeratne at the Jayawardenapura hospital. The suspect was arrested last evening (July 18) at the Jayawardenapura hospital by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in connection to the Avant-Garde case. The suspect was ordered to appear before the Galle Magistrates Court by the acting Magistrate. However, if he fails to present himself before court owing to his health conditions, he was ordered to produce a health report.
