FCID case against MP Namal Rajapaksa postponed to Oct 24th

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Fort Chief Magistrate, Lanka Jayaratne has ordered that the case filed against MP Namal Rajapaksa and 3 others by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division be postponed till October 24th. The Chief Magistrate postponed the case as the advice sought from the Attorney General has not been received. The travel ban imposed on the four suspects has been extended until the date of the next hearing. The suspects are accused of misusing the parliamentary privileges for personal benefit by buying HelloCorp which was providing services to SriLankan Airlines.
