17 injured in accident at Srawasthipura

COLOMBO (News 1st) - An accident in Srawasthipura, Anuradhapura injured 17 including 2 children. Police stated that a collision between a lorry and a van had occurred last night. The driver of the van and 13 women and 2 children were admitted to the Anuradhapura Hospital. Police added that the condition of the two women among them is critical. It was reported that they are residents of Kirindiwela, Gampaha. The driver of the lorry also sustained injuries and was hospitalized. Further investigations are underway.
