Director of Blue Mountain produced in courts

Colombo (News 1st): A case filed by a customer of the Blue Mountain Property Company was taken up before the Kesbewa Magistrate today (July 15). The case was heard by acting Magistrate P.W.S.H. Weerasinghe. The case has been filed against the Blue Mountain Property Company that defrauded a customer by not providing a deed even after complete payment was made. As such, the case was filed against officials of Blue Mountain over charges including fraud, criminal misconduct, and violation of trust. Maharu Ferosh Hettiarachchi, a director of Blue Mountain who was arrested with regard to this incident, was also produced before the court today. At the hearing, the Mount Lavinia Special Fraud Investigation Division informed the court that other directors and senior officials have not been found at their houses or at their place of occupation. As a result, 4 individuals including Blue Mountain Managing Director Saumya Hettiarachchi are to be arrested. While the case will be taken up again on July 29th, the acting Magistrate ordered that the suspect be remanded until that date.
