Presidential candidate behind importing garbage: Ven Pahiyangala Ananda Sagara Thero

COLOMBO (News 1st): Venerable Pahiyangala Ananda Sagara Thero of the Protect Sri Lanka Organization speaking on the garbage found in the Katunayake free trade zone said that the customs have seized over 100 containers which contain garbage including mattresses brought down from the UK. He further directly levelled an accusation at the Presidential candidates for being responsible for bringing these consignments. Further clarifying his statement he said that there is a popular businessman who intends to stand as the Presidential candidate and dreams of being President of the country. The Thero also said that he possesses video footage of this as well and urged to look into the garbage found in the Free Trade Zone in Katunayake which has similarities to the garbage imported recently. He also said that in a situation where they are questioned for taking a few robes for offertory purposes that businessmen can bring in mountains of garbage into the country but are not questioned. The Thero further claimed that since this particular businessman has a few politicians in his pocket, that neither the President, the Prime Minister nor Mahinda Rajapaksa will talk about the matter. He added that in that case even Anura Kumara Dissanayake and the members of the Samasamaja parties would not raise their voices against the matter.
