496 deported for violating immigration rules - Department of Immigration and Emigration

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Department of Immigration and Emigration states that 496 people who remained in the country without a valid visa were deported from the country within the last six months. Media spokesperson of the department, Gayan Milinda states that the majority of those deported include Nigerian and Indian nationals. He further said that the operations launched to arrest the individuals remaining in the country without a valid visa has been strengthened.
