COLOMBO (News 1st): A group of locals are currently protesting by blocking the rail tracks of the Tudella Railway station which is on the Chilaw-Puttalam line.

The protest was launched as a result of a motor accident that occurred at the railway station. The Railway Control room noted that the accident occurred when a train plying from Chilaw to Colombo had knocked down a motorcyclist at around 3.30 pm this evening (July 12).

The control room further notified that the ongoing protest has resulted in a delay in train travel.
