President guides drug rehabilitation programme islandwide

COLOMBO (News 1st): The programme launched to rehabilitate drug addicts is currently carried out in a successful manner under the guidance of President Maithripala Sirisena. The President's media unit stated that this programme is aimed at rehabilitating drug addicts, social reintegration and developing their professional skills. A large number of youth addicted to drugs are currently going through rehabilitation in centres located island wide. The President has also ordered the relevant officials to establish non- residential rehabilitation centres on a district level in order to speed up the process.
