10-hour water cut for Kalutara and several areas

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The National Water Supply and Drainage Board issued notice of a 10-hour water cut commencing from 10 am today(July 09) for several areas including Kalutara. The areas affected by the water cut are Wadduwa, Waskaduwa, Pothupitiya, Kalutara North, Kalutara South, Katukurunda and Nagoda. National Water Supply and Drainage Board stated that the water cut will be in effect due to an urgent maintenance procedure. The National Water Supply and Drainage Board added that water will be supplied to several areas under low pressure for 24 hours due to a development program in the area by the Sri Lanka Land Reclamation and Development Corporation. Low water pressure will affect the areas of Colombo, Dehiwela, Mount Lavinia, Kotte, Kaduwela, Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, Kolonnawa, Kotikawatta, Mulleriyawa, Ratmalana, and Soysapura from 9 am tomorrow(July 10).
