President on free education in the country

COLOMBO (News 1st): A newly constructed building at the Kawudulla Maha Vidyalaya was vested with the students today (July 5). The event was held under the auspices of President Maithripala Sirisena. The project which is being carried out under the "Pibidemu Polonnaruwa" program consists of eight classrooms. The building was constructed with the assistance of the Sri Lanka Air Force. The President states that there are only 25 countries who provide both free education and health services. He continued to say that Sri Lanka is one of those countries where the government funds are used to provide education to school students till they enter universities.
