COLOMBO (News 1st) - Former President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka, U. R. de Silva was critical of parliament for continuing with its own inquiry into the 04/21 attacks even after Attorney General Dappula de Livera had initiated an inquiry. U.R. de Silva said that already there are cases before the Supreme Court with regard to the same incident where they have challenged various issues and it was a futile exercise. He added that it is not illegal what they had to say and they are spending a lot of money, the people's money with regard to this particular inquiry. He added that the results would be at the end focused on one individual. He finally added without wasting time and money, if they really wanted to help the situation or help the inquiry they can go through, very carefully, the report compiled by the special committee appointed by the resident and provide their suggestions.
