Colombo (News 1st): A terror suspect attached to the National Thawheed Jamaath Organization, who attempted to leave to Japan, has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport.

The suspect was arrested by the Terrorist Investigations Division following information received by the Intelligence Unit of the Sri Lanka Navy. Police noted that it has been revealed that the suspect has taken oaths in the presence of Mohomed Zahran as a suicide bomber.

The suspect named Mohomed Ansar Mohomed Rinaz is a resident of Mawanella. It has also been revealed that he had received weapon training. The TID has taken measures to conduct further investigations while keeping him in detention for 90 days.
