Indictments served against former DIG Anura Senanayake

Colombo (News 1st): The Colombo High Court today (June 27) served indictments against former DIG Anura Senanayake, for allegedly concealing information regarding the murder of rugby player Wasim Thajudeen. Colombo High Court Judge Wikum Kaluarachchi ordered the former DIG to be released on bail. Accordingly, bail was granted under a cash bond of Rs 1 million and two sureties worth Rs. 2 million each. The former DIG was banned from overseas travel and was warned not to intimidate the witnesses. The judge also informed that if the Senanayake fails to fulfil the bail conditions, he would be remanded again.
