COLOMBO (News 1st): US President Donald Trump has said that he does not want war but warned Iran it would face “obliteration” if a conflict broke out.
Speaking to NBC yesterday (June 21) Trump said the US was open to talks but would not allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons. He further expanded on his last-minute decision to call off strikes planned in response to the shooting down of a US unmanned drone this week, saying he had been told 150 Iranians would be killed.
Responding firmly to the statement by the US President, Abbas Mousavi a spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that they will not allow any violation against Iran’s borders and that Iran will firmly confront any aggression or threat by America.
