Water cut in Colombo and several other areas on June 22

COLOMBO (News 1st) - National Water Supply and Drainage Board stated that a 15-hour water cut will be in effect for several areas in Colombo on June 22nd. Accordingly, the water supply of the areas that fall under Municipal Councils of Colombo, Kotte, Dehiwala-Mt. Lavinia, Kaduwela and the water supply of the areas that fall under the Urban Councils of Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa and Kolonnawa will be suspended on June 22nd. In addition, the water supply of the areas that fall under the Pradheshiya Sabas of Kotikawatta, Mulleriyawa and the residential flats of Soysapura and Ratmalana will be disrupted as well. It was reported that the water supply is to be disrupted due to the improvements scheduled at the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant and maintenance at Jubilee transmission.
