Colombo (News 1st): An Indian National Intelligence report has warned that India and Sri Lanka are likely to be under threat with terror group IS turning its attention to the Indian Ocean Region in the wake of losses across Syria and Iraq.

NDTV said, according to the details of inter-police communication, Kerala police officers hinted at the possibility of such a development.

When News 1st inquired, Secretary of Defence General Shantha Kottegoda said he will not fail to notice all information received in this regard.

He added that attention has been drawn towards this latest development and that necessary steps have been taken.
