AG instructs acting IGP to continue investigations of NTJ

Colombo (News 1st): Attorney General Dappula De Livera has instructed acting IGP C.D. Wickremeratne to continue investigations on the National Thawheed Jamaath, their members and their activities. Coordinating officer to the Attorney General, State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne said the AG is aware the Criminal Investigations Department and the Terrorist Investigations Division are conducting separate investigations in the incidents of causing damages to Buddha statues in Mawanella and the 04/21 attacks. The Attorney General instructed the acting IGP to inform him of the progress of these investigations without delay.
