COLOMBO (News 1st): The police states that Hayathu Mohommad Ahamed Milhan who was arrested in Dubai and brought back to the country is the chief suspect in the case of murdering two police constables who were on duty at the Vavunathivu checkpoint.

Police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara states that the person has also maintained close connections with Mohommad Zahran. Four other suspects who were arrested along with him were also brought back to the country today (June 14).

77 suspects connected to the 04/21 attacks are currently in the custody of the CID while 25 other suspects are currently under the TID.
