COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Supreme Court today ordered the Attorney General to file charges against State Minister Ranjan Ramanayke, within a month, for contempt of court. The filed complaints are to be taken up in court on the 30th of July. The case was taken up today (June 12) before justices Jayantha Jayasuriya, Vijitha Malallgoda and Murdu Fernando. This was the second case against state minister Ranjan Ramanyake on contempt of court. The case was filed against Ranjan Ramanayake for a statement he made regarding the panel of judges appointed to examine the petition complied against the dissolution of the parliament.
