Driving license of private bus driver suspended for life

Colombo (News 1st): The driving license of a Gampaha - Colombo private bus driver was suspended for life by Gampaha Additional Magistrate Manjula Karunaratne for the charge of transporting passengers under the influence of alcohol. In addition, the driver was fined Rs. 7500. The driver in question was subject to a breathalyzer test after he was stopped by the Gampaha Traffic Police for driving in a reckless manner and blocking traffic in the Gampaha Town.
