COLOMBO (News 1st) – The public awareness programme carried out by Gammadda on precautions to save lives and minimize damage during a flood took place in the Galle area today (May 22).
Three programmes were conducted in Baddegama, Nagoda and Welivitiya Divithura areas.
The programme is jointly organized by Gammadda and Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management was assisted by the Disaster Management Centre, Sri Lanka Police, Sri Lanka Army and several other state institutions.
Officials of the Sri Lanka Life Saving Association, as well as officers of the Sri Lanka Police and Sri Lanka Army also extended their support for the programme.
