"Namal Kumara's arrest is part of a conspiracy" - Attorney-at-law Ajith Prasanna

COLOMBO (News 1st): Convener of the "Mawbima Wenuwen Ranawiruwo" Organization, Attorney at Law Ajith Prasanna, arrived at the Criminal Investigation Department today (May 16) to hand over a letter regarding Namal Kumara who was arrested recently. Speaking to the media he claimed that Namal Kumara is not kept for any other reason but to dispose of the case regarding the assassination plot of the President by proving that he is none other than a liar and a criminal. The lawyer continued to say that four sniper weapons were found in an armoury that was discovered from the Uva Kuda Oya close to the east which belongs to the Muslim national who was arrested in Dehiwela. He said that the son of this Muslim individual was the pilot of the plane that showered flowers at the funeral of Makandure Madush's father. The lawyer claimed that along with this connection with Madush that there was an attempt to assassinate the President in the east which is close to where the snipers were also discovered. He added that it was when they were going to reveal this matter in courts on the 21st that Namal Kumara was arrested as part of a conspiracy.
