Kuliyapitiya SP transferred; TID now under CID

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Superintendent of Police in-charge of the Kuliyapitiya Police Division was transferred to the Sri Lanka Police College in Kalutara. The Police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara noted that the transfer was done under the supervision of the Police Commission. He was transferred to the Sri Lanka Police College in Kalutara as the Deputy Director. An SP attached to Nugegoda Police Division was transferred to the Kuliyapitiya Police Division as the new superintendent. Meanwhile, the Police HQ stated that the TID which was under the direct supervision of the IGP was placed under the purview of the DIG, Ravi Seneviratne who is in charge of the CID. The police HQ announced that the decision was taken based on the service requirement prevailing at the moment.
