General amnesty period for army deserters extended till May 17th

Colombo (News 1st): The general amnesty period declared for army deserters to receive their legal discharge has been extended by the Army Headquarters by another week. Accordingly, army deserters who have so far failed to report to their respective Regimental Headquarters can make use of this extension and receive their discharge before May 17th, 2019 by 6.00 p.m. The general amnesty period which was declared on April 22nd, 2019 was due to end on May 10th 2019.
