PCOI to probe former CJ regarding Mahapola irregularities

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The PCOI on irregularities at state institutions in the past four years is to record a statement from former Chief Justice K. Sripavan.  The statement will be recorded on the irregularities said to have occurred at the Mahapola scholarship trust fund during his period as Chairman in 2015. An official of the PCOI said that a team of officers will be recording a statement at his residence on Wednesday (May 15). The investigations are being carried out according to a complaint lodged by former Minister Dr Wijeyadasa Rajapaksha. He has already provided evidence to the commission on the matter.
