COLOMBO (News 1st) – The police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that 56 unidentified remains from the Easter Sunday terror attack still lie at the Colombo Judicial Medical Officer’s office.

SP Gunasekara requested the public, to inform the nearest police station if they have any friends or relatives who may have gone missing on the day of the attacks.

He went on to note that based on the reports of missing persons from the police stations, they would conduct DNA tests and hand over the remains to their relatives.
