Colombo (News 1st): The Cey-Nor Foundation says a new software aimed at controlling and preventing drug peddling and human smuggling, will be introduced for all fishing vessels by the end of this month.
Managing Director of the Foundation, Ayesh Ranawaka said, this new software will provide security for fishermen in the deep seas.
According to Ranawaka, every vessel will be connected to the Fisheries Department, once this software is installed. He further noted the installation of the software will be made mandatory from the end of this month.
