Dehigolla wild elephant issue: Electric fence needed urgently

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The residents of Dehigolla are suffering due to endless human-elephant conflicts. According to News 1st correspondent, these wild elephants have destroyed about 18 residences during the past few days. The elephants have become a threat to the day to day activities of the residents including agricultural purposes. The situation has taken an unfortunate turn, due to the lack of an electric fence in the area. The residents of the area demand the officials to solve the matter immediately.
