Gas masks used in bomb making process discovered by Police

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Today (April 28) the News 1st team visited several areas in the country where major encounters and explosions occurred recently. Evidently, Sri Lankan security forces have successfully executed several operations that dismantled the cowardly future operations of the terrorists. The explosive storehouses which were secured by the security personnel were also crucial safe houses for the terrorists. Among the atrocious and harmful equipment found in the ruins of Nindaur, Ampara, gas masks found at the scene became the focal point of the security personnel and other analysts. Military analysts believe that these gas masks could have been used in the bomb-making process. The security forces also found books focussed on extremism which the terrorists had used to indoctrinate the teams. The News 1st  team's next stop was the Samanthurai safe house where an encounter between terrorists and Sri Lankan security forces ensued. At the scene, the News 1st team was shown a motorbike used to carry gas cylinders into the house. It was evident that the terrorists expected to enhance their explosions using them. The government analysts found T-56 magazines and body parts of a child at the scene today (April 28). A few white clothes used by women that were recovered at the location drew special attention of the police. Sources claim, that these clothes were purchased from Giriulla and 5 out of 9 of them were recovered at the location while the rest of them are missing. The police media-spokesperson, SP Ruwan Gunasekara noted that two survivors; a woman and a child were found at the location and they were immediately taken to hospitals to by the security forces. He added that the survivors are currently receiving treatments at the Ampara hospital under police protection. The woman, identified as Abdul Kadar Fathima Kadiya is believed to be the wife of the Easter attack terrorist; Mohamed Zahran while the other 4-year-old survivor; Mohamed Zahran Ruseina is the daughter of the terrorist. They were identified following the statements by the sister and brother-in-law of Mohomed Zahran.
