Easter Bombings: 8 bodies yet to be identified

Colombo (News 1st): The health ministry notes that the remains of 8 unidentified persons, victims of the Easter bombings, are currently at the 

mortuary of the Colombo Judicial Medical Officer. Six of the unidentified remains are that of foreign nationals.

Director General of Health Dr Anil Jasinghe said the remains of 245 victims were handed over to their relatives during the past few days. 81 people who were injured in the terror attacks are still receiving treatment at the Negombo, Batticaloa and Colombo National hospitals. Dr Jasinghe noted that 24 of the injured are receiving treatment at the ICU. The death toll of the Easter Sunday terror attacks currently stands 253.
