Bell 212 helicopter on standby near Colombo

Colombo (News 1st): The Sri Lanka Air Force says a Bell 212 Helicopter is on standby close to the Colombo City, to be used in an emergency situation. Air Force Spokesperson Group Captain Gihan Seneviratne said the helicopter can carry 9000 Litres of water in the event of a fire. He added a Special Security Program is in place in Negombo and Colombo while security has been tightened in Ella, Bandarawela and Haputale.
