Enough blood available at blood bank : Health Minister

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr Rajitha Senaratne stated that there is sufficient blood available for those undergoing treatment after yesterday's (April 21) terror attacks. The Minister noted that the Colombo National Hospital, Colombo-South Teaching Hospital and Negombo District hospital have adequate amounts of blood to treat the injured from the Easter attack yesterday (April 21). It was reported a large crowd was present at the National Blood Centre in Narahenpita to donate blood following the attack yesterday(April 21). The Minister added that they would request the public to donate blood if it is necessary in the future.
