Colombo (News 1st): The Ministry of Digital Infrastructure and Information Technology is to present a draft of the Cyber Security Act to Parliament next month for ratification.
Minister Ajith P Perera said the Cyber Security Act will have provisions to punish those who attempt to hack into Sri Lanka’s network.
He added, that the Cyber Security Act will ensure the safety of the country’s banking and telecommunication sector.
The Minister said a new mobile app will be introduced for people to inform respective authorities of various emergencies and this app will be available for download on all platforms in the near future.
