Colombo (News 1st): A woman from Kahawatte was arrested for beating her mother to death and causing serious injuries to her father.

Police said the suspect had attacked her parents with a pole. The elderly couple were rushed to the Kahawatte Hospital, and the 52-year-old mother died upon admission.

Police said investigations have revealed that the woman who carried out the attack has a history of mental illnesses. The suspect woman was arrested by Police for the attack and murder.
