Four suspects arrested with gem worth over Rs. 25 mn

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The police stated that four suspects have been arrested with a gemstone valued at over Rs. 25mn in Negombo. In February, an individual had arrived at a hotel in Negombo to purchase a gemstone. He had subsequently stolen the gemstone as well as Rs.50,000 in cash from the hotel. The four suspects are due to be produced before the Negombo Magistrate Court today(April 14).
