Today is fuel price revision day

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The committee appointed to review the fuel price will convene at the Ministry of Finance this afternoon to determine the monthly fuel price according to the price formula. The price of crude oil in the international market has increased by USD 8 in the past month. A barrel of crude oil was at USD 57 in the international market as of 10th of last month(March). Currently, the price has escalated to USD 65. According to the sources at the Finance Ministry, although the international oil prices have increased, the pricing formula will be amended conveniently for consumers with a minimum level of effect as the rupee appreciated against the US$ recently.
