COLOMBO (News 1st) – The four-storey Sadaham Madura at the Sri Bodhirajarama Viharaya, Ratnapura was declared open yesterday (April 07) by the Venerable Napana Premasiri Thero.
The Minister of Buddhist Affairs Gamini Jayawickrama Perera also attended the event. Thalatha Atukorala, Minister of Justice and Prison Reforms addressed the sangha at the event.
She noted that as laymen the public had to live their lives based on Buddhist philosophy and practice what is taught in Pansil. She added that Buddhist monks did not need to be produced before Sangha courts regarding disciplinary matters as they are taught discipline by their chief prelates.
